Welcome to Northwest Eye & Laser Center. Our experienced and responsive staff strives to deliver the highest level of care. Years of technical expertise are combined with artistic sensibility to meet the individual needs of each of our valued patients. We have found that many of our patients are interested in maintaining a cosmetic liaison with us. Our website explains many procedures in detail. In addition, our newsletters will keep you up-to-date on the full range of procedures available at our office. Below you will find an overview of our staff, procedures, products, policies, and forms. STAFF Your experience begins with our physician and staff... - Dr. Mark Boerner is a board-certified oculofacial plastic surgeon in practice for over 15 years. He completed his training at the University of Texas and completed a fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco. He has performed over 10,000 surgical procedures over the course of his practice. A Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (aao.org) and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (cosmeticsurgery.org), Dr. Boerner has a unique aesthetic sense to help cosmetic patients maximize their return on investment. He lectures nationally and is the only physician in Idaho certified by the makers of Botox Cosmetic (botox.com) to teach physicians proper injection techniques. In addition to cosmetic surgery, Dr. Boerner’s practice involves surgical management of tumors, trauma, and disorders of the face and eyelid. He has also completed a medical mission in Honduras.
Dr. Lee Carter is the Center’s optometrist, and provides a full range of optical services for our patients. He studied at The Ohio State University College of Optometry in Columbus, where he worked with retinal, corneal, and ocular health specialists throughout all of central and southern Ohio. Dr. Carter currently is a member of the American Optometric Association, is actively involved in the Idaho Optometric Association, is a member of the Nampa Kiwanis Club and sits on the Nampa Recreation Center Scholarship Committee. Glenice Davis and Mary Jane Buhler, our surgical technicians and longest standing employees, schedule and assist the doctors with eye examinations and a variety of cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries. Marcy Carlson directs the optical service and assists in scheduling.

Heather
Anderson is a certified surgical technician providing cosmetic consultations on skin care, and performs Obagi Blue Peels and Intense Pulse Light treatments. In addition, she performs cosmetic treatments with Botox and tissue fillers (all procedures are performed under direct physician supervision as required by Idaho law).

Vickie Smith is our licensed esthetician who offers skin care services, such as micro-pigmentation (permanent make-up), facials, microdermabrasion, and chemical peels. Vickie is trained in
Colorescience
mineral make-up application and has experience with post-operative and
camouflage makeup.

Vana Nelson
is the office
manager who holds it all together - focusing on management and billing. Jennifer
Bleymaier assists with billing and front office activities.

Wrinkle Prevention/Reversal Procedures
Botox injections (botox.com) – improve the appearance of frown lines. Works well on crows feet, laugh lines, lip lines, forehead wrinkles, etc. Filler injections - such as Perlane and Restylane (restylaneusa.com) as well as Juvederm (Juvederm.com) to smooth out folds and wrinkles or enhance lips and other areas by adding volume
Skin Rejuvenation
Laser Resurfacing – the gold standard for reducing medium and deep wrinkles associated with aging/sun-damaged skin (also reduces the appearance of acne scars) Chemical Peels - to revitalize skin, brighten complexion, eliminate fine wrinkles, fade brown spots, make pores appear smaller, and smooth skin surface Microdermabrasion – skin surface abrasion to remove sun-damaged skin and to remove or lessen scars and dark spots on the skin Facials – involve a variety of skin treatments, including steam, exfoliation, extraction, creams, and lotions

POLICIES - Insurance. Northwest Eye and Laser Center requires first time patients to pay at the time of their visit. We will submit your charges to your insurance company, so please bring your insurance card with you. If your insurance requires a pre-approval or referral, please be sure this is addressed before the time of your appointment.
- Financing. Northwest Eye and Laser Center offers Care Credit to those patients who choose to finance their procedures in advance of surgery/procedures (carecredit.com). Care Credit offers affordable options to cover the cost of surgery.
- Cancellation. Please note that appointments missed without a 24 hour advanced notice will be charged $50.00.
FORMS Please download, print, and complete the patient information sheet and a medical history form prior to your appointment and give them to the front desk when you arrive. If a surgery at Eagle Eye Surgery Center is planned, please download, print, and complete that form as well. This will shorten the paper processing part of the visit.
